should I read...

-The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom?
-The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger?
-Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen?

TFPYMEH is a light read that gets you thinking.

CITR by Salinger has been a big hit with a lot of my friends recently. If you can get past the main character's manner of speaking in the book, I have heard it is fantastic.

P&P is probably beautifully written, but I have a couple of girlfriends who have hated it because it was boring.

I personally think Screwtape is really heavy and analytical. Maybe not a summertime read, you know?

I have never heard of In Cold Blood...but Gone with the Wind is a classic!

I would say go for either Five People or Catcher in the Rye. :) Or neither! Your choice!

I fell onto your blog from Twitter... how creepy is that?

You should read Cather in the Rye, if you didn't choose it first, or haven't been able to read as much as you planned. Salinger is a brilliant guy, and it's a classic for a reason. There's a lot of genuine wisdom hidden behind the dirty-mouthed high school kid. I dunno if you'll ever realize I left a comment. ha.
